Drop

Ever heard of Prince Rupert’s Drop? It’s a structural phenomenon brought by Prince Rupert to England, something like a drop of water or similar to a tadpole’s silhouette. The mystery of it is that even with a hammer banging on its head (the wider end) it stays strong, yet even the softest of a finger’s touch on the thin end can cause the entire structure to shatter in powder.To us this symbolises the vulnerability that humans can display. It’s the dalliance of love and heartbreak. It’s the ups and downs of life that make it the story it is. For without the lows the highs will never feel high. The curved structure of this ring emulates the stronger elements of our character, whilst the sharp edges of the marquise diamond represent the weaker elements in us. Each element fitted perfectly together as life can exist without the other.

This ring is a phenomenon just like life.
